Info

My name is Zachary Kanzler and I am an award winning photographer, videographer, and digital media specialist based in New Orleans. I hold bachelors degrees in Communications and Environmental Studies from Tulane University. Currently, I am working independently on photo, video, and artistic projects for a number of the clients listed below. The central focus of my work is largely the documentation of environmental injustice throughout the Gulf South Region. I specialize in oral histories and portraits; however, my work covers a little bit of everything. Outside of documentary, I engage in event, fashion, concert, and travel photography/videography.

In all of my work, I strive to counter the “shoot and run” mentality of most imaging work. I develop lasting relationships with my subjects and treat them with dignity and respect. Creating an image, rather than taking one, whether still or in motion, should be collaborative and a positive experience for everyone involved.
